Friend — What a month it’s been.

The government shut down after Republicans refused to negotiate to save critical funding for Americans’ health care. Democrats have since held the line as we fight to protect working families from skyrocketing health insurance premiums.

We’ve seen Speaker Mike Johnson of the Pedophile Protection Party refuse to swear in a duly elected member of Congress because she would be the deciding vote to release the Epstein files.

The Trump administration continued its fascist takeover of major cities by sending federal troops and lawless, unaccountable ICE thugs into Chicago and Portland to wreak havoc and violate civil liberties.

Trump himself lobbed racist attacks at me over and over again from the Oval Office, and far-right members of Congress furthered their push to have me arrested and deported.

We learned this week that a well-connected candidate is about to enter the race and challenge my campaign for reelection.

And that’s not to mention the fragile ceasefire in Gaza, Trump’s escalations towards war in Venezuela, and his disastrous trade war with China.

I am trying my best to stay laser-focused on the fight for our future and the priorities of this progressive movement.

But despite everything, I simply cannot ignore the fact that we have a fundraising deadline coming up at midnight tomorrow.

I have my team set ambitious goals around these deadlines because it helps us build a campaign budget that is capable of both beating any and all challengers and organizing to oppose Trump’s authoritarian rule.
