We’re so excited for you to join us virtually for our 2025 Annual Gala today! This year’s theme is Grow With Us — in recognition of our growth and a tribute to the power of our grassroots to fight for the rights of our community.

The event begins today at 3:00 PM ET with a panel called Historical Approaches for Self Advocates. Panelists will discuss hard learned lessons and how we can apply them to avoid future road blocks to build a future that has a place for all of us.

We will continue at 5:15 PM ET with our next panel focusing on the power of building community and what needs to be done to build collective power. This panel is called Building Community Power.

Tonight culminates with our Gala Awards Ceremony at 7:30 PM ET – we will be honoring several awardees for their tireless work in advocacy, research, community building, and so much more. We will also hear from ASAN’s Executive Director Colin Killick! Watch the livestream on Youtube tonight! [[link removed]]

Gala tickets are on a sliding scale, so you can pay whatever you are comfortable with. Proceeds from this event every year support our advocacy work and programs for the coming year, and allow us to continue working to empower disabled people across the country. If you are not able to donate, we’re just happy to have you celebrating with us! But if you are able, please consider donating to support our work [[link removed]] .

Will you join us tonight? You are invited to join any of the events, or all of them! You can register here [[link removed]] and be entered into our raffle – prizes include 2 free year-long ASAN memberships at the Trivia Teammates tier [[link removed]] . We will contact the winners after the awards ceremony, so be sure to keep an eye out for an email from us! We can’t wait to see you tonight !

We want to correct a mistake we made in yesterday's email announcing our awardees. We misspelled Day Al-Mohamed's name. Day is one of our recipients of the Harriet McBryde Johnson award for nonfiction. We are grateful for her work and want to apologize for misspelling her name.
