But it’s not all good news.

Fire seasons are getting longer and stronger. Extreme weather is hitting more regions of the world. Waters are rising, and pollution is still choking our skies. Knowing all that, I was surprised to see this when I checked your digital record:

Climate Champion, we don’t have time to wait for another moment like this one. It’s now or never – quite literally, with the planet continuing to get warmer.

We need 172 more people to take the pledge tonight. Because let’s be honest: We can’t transition to clean energy, build green communities, address the health crisis of pollution, or reassert our global leadership by asking nicely once or twice. This work demands consistent, dedicated pressure from consistent, dedicated climate activists. I’m counting on you to be one of them – and so is the planet.
