Every effort counts! Whether it's canvassing, greeting voters, or being inside poll observers, your involvement makes a difference. If you can't find a sign-up for Election Day, don't worry, just show up at your voting location to help handout our sample ballot! Your participation is invaluable. Let's do this!

NOVEMBER 4 GENERAL ELECTION | DECEMBER 9 BRADDOCK SUPERVISOR SPECIAL ELECTION

As of yesterday, about 87,500 mail-in balloting materials have been sent to Fairfax County voters; however, it appears that about 44% haven't been returned to the Office of Elections. Vote the Democratic ticket today: Abigail Spanberger for Governor, Ghazala Hashmi for Lieutenant Governor, Jay Jones for Attorney General, and your Delegate! FCDC BREAKOUT EVENTS

  • GOTV Souls to Polls Canvass (FCDC API Caucus & KADNOWMA) - Sun., Nov.2 @ 2 PM; H Mart Centreville. Join The Korean-American Democratic National Organization of Washington Metro Area (KADNOWMA) and FCDC API Caucus. and many local officials as well as our statewide candidates for this community event to get out the vote canvass!

  • Sully Dems Holiday Auction - Sat., Nov. 1 through Sat., Nov. 15; Online Auction. Enjoy holiday, tariff-free shopping for decorations and gifts by participating in the Sully Dems online auction. This is our last fundraising event for the year and monies raised will go to our voter programs and activities in 2026. Help us grow while getting something in return. Please check our auction out starting Nov 1. We appreciate your support (and, of course, bids!).

VOTER PROTECTION TRAINING

  • Poll Observer Training (DPVA Coordinated Campaign) - Last chance is tonight, Thurs., Oct. 30 @ 7 PM; Zoom. The Democratic Party of Virginia Coordinated Campaign’s Voter Protection team is working to ensure that every voter has access to the polls and that every vote is counted. 

    • On-Demand Poll Observer Training (DPVA Coordinated Campaign) - Participants may choose their own date and time; Zoom. Training is the same as above, but self-guided.  

  • Protect the Vote: Quick Training for ALL Volunteers (FCDC Election Law & Voter Protection) - Last chance is Mon., Nov. 3 @ 7 PM; Zoom. This training is for all FCDC volunteers with a special focus on helping poll greeters and precinct captains protect voting rights!

  • Friday Power Lunch: No Tricks, Just the Truth: Bold Moves for Democracy - Fri., Oct. 31 @ 12 PM; Zoom. This week, the Friday Power Lunch exposes the tricks of power and lifts up the truth-tellers who refuse to back down.

    • Congresswoman Lauren Underwood joins the show to discuss how courage and compassion can coexist in policymaking. 

    • Our hosts Katherine White and Finale Norton will break down the week’s headlines.

    • We’ll also hear from Jara Butler, Chief Impact Officer at Supermajority, on how the organization is turning the Majority Rules into real-world action—organizing phone banks in Virginia ahead of the November 4 elections.

    • Finally, Democratic strategist and CBS News contributor Antjuan Seawright takes us inside the GOP’s fear tactics, unmasking how Republicans weaponize anxiety to divide voters—and how Democrats can respond with clarity, conviction, and courage.

  • Mason Halloween SPOOK-tacular hosted by Mason District Supervisor Andres Jimenez - Thurs., Oct. 30 @ 5:30 PM; O’my ChiQ & Bar (Annandale). Join Mason District Supervisor Andres Jimenez for a fundraiser supporting Mason Supervisor Andres Jimenez! Featuring special guest Congressman James Walkinshaw*. This is a family-friendly Halloween event featuring live music, drinks and food.

  • Don’t Boo, Vote Blue Rally - Sun., Nov. 2 @ 6 PM; Springfield address provided upon registration. Join the Fairfax South County Delegation of the House of Delegates for a get out the vote rally, volunteer appreciation, and fun family activities! Costumes optional but encouraged! This event is outdoors, so please dress accordingly.
  • Trump Versus History II, hosted by The New Republic - Mon., Nov. 3 @ 4 PM; Virtual. How Trump is trying to change our sense of who we are.
    Historians "have opened the gates of historical knowledge to myriad new subjects and methods that have educated a largely curious and willing world. Now we have to mobilize to defend our profession not only with research and teaching but in the realm of politics and public persuasion." What if History Died by Sanctioned Ignorance?, David W. Blight; The New Republic, September, 2025. In this TNR Live, Blight talks with some fellow academics on how they must fight to preserve our history AND democracy.
