Hurricane Melissa Update: Support service members, including those impacted by this powerful storm

USO Supporter,

Right now, Hurricane Melissa has made landfall and is unleashing devastating wind and rain in the Caribbean. This category 5 storm will deeply impact communities in the region, including thousands of military service members stationed there.

In Florida, the USO team welcomed more than 850 evacuated U.S. citizens and 100 pets from Naval Station Guantanamo Bay — with care and comfort. Families and non-essential personnel were quickly evacuated ahead of the storm, but given its projected impact, they may be away from their homes for weeks.
