I need to tell you what President Trump is doing. There is a hunger crisis rapidly growing in our country. 42 million Americans are about to lose their SNAP benefits on November 1st because of Donald Trump and his Republican majority that forced a government shutdown. To make matters worse, Trump literally just sent $20 billion to bail out Argentina, while letting millions of Americans go hungry. It’s outrageous. This is a nationwide catastrophe for families who rely on SNAP to put food on the table. We must act quickly.
The Trump administration is playing partisan games with people’s lives. Now, the government shutdown is putting communities at risk of losing the food assistance they depend on to survive. SNAP is a lifeline for millions of Americans, and the government must do everything in its power to continue providing these life-saving benefits. The Trump administration has up to $6 billion in reserves to fund SNAP. He cares more about pushing political propaganda than helping feed American families. I will keep fighting against the Trump administration’s attacks on food assistance. But I need your voices to rise up with me against this injustice.
