Right now, I’m hearing from a lot of people who are angry.
Angry about Donald Trump’s attacks on our democracy.
Angry about rising costs and medical bills.
Angry that Democrats aren’t doing enough to fight back.
I understand that anger, because I feel it too. I’m livid that Donald Trump is running around unchecked. I’m scared about what this will mean for my kids' futures. And I’m frustrated that Democrats in Washington haven’t grown a backbone.
Right now, we don’t have the luxury of sitting on the sidelines. If we want to protect our democracy and defend our rights, Democrats have to step up. I’m not scared to stand up and call out Trump’s authoritarianism. But since I’m a Democrat representing a district Trump won, it’s a real risk.
