I’ll be very blunt. The first time someone suggested to me that I should run for U.S. Senate against Susan Collins, I wasn’t sure that throwing away the quiet, very nice life that my wife Amy and I had built for ourselves was the right idea.

We knew what we’d be giving up.

But seeing the response to our campaign – seeing the massive turnouts at our town halls and events – I am 100% certain that this was the right thing to do for our country. And I am 100% certain that we are going to succeed in finally sending Susan Collins packing and flipping Maine blue.

I also made the decision that if I was going to do this, I wasn’t going to take money from corporate PACs, AIPAC, or special interests like Big Oil or Big Pharma.

But that means that if we’re going to be able to take on Susan Collins and her Super PACs, I am relying on donations from people like you to fund our campaign and win.
