morning pastry and coffee. Sometimes it’s a concha and a latte. Sometimes
it’s a pan de muerto and a café con leche. The main thing is that it's
non-negotiable.

Angela’s morning spread!
That’s why this weekend, Angela and our team held a community event at
Delicia’s in Highland Park. This bakery is a staple in Angela’s
neighborhood, and that’s why we wanted to hold a community event.
Together we enjoyed a morning of coffee, pastries, conversation, care, and
community. Take a look:

We also gathered non-perishable food and other essentials to donate to the
NELA Food Distribution to support families impacted by ICE raids.
Community is everything to Angela, our team, and our campaign.
Angela has never abandoned her community and she never will. She’s born
and raised in LA and she’s devoted her life to making it better through
community organizing, fighting back against the carceral system, engaging
in mutual aid and more.
Community will defeat out-of-touch bought and paid for politicians every
time, but we have to do the work to make sure that happens.
That means getting out into the community, knocking on doors, making phone
calls, getting to know our neighbors, and supporting one another.
