John,
As the Republicans’ government shutdown continues, nearly 2 million Pennsylvanians will lose access to SNAP food assistance on November 1st.
With inflation, tariffs, and soaring grocery prices, SNAP has been a lifeline for many. Now, working families, seniors, and children will be unable to access fresh food.
And what is Brian Fitzpatrick doing in the face of this crisis?
Standing by silently while Trump sends $40 billion to bail out his political allies in Argentina. Saying nothing while Trump spends $300 million to destroy the East Wing of the White House and build a tacky ballroom.
Make no mistake: Republicans could end the shutdown today.
But Trump doesn’t want that, and Fitzpatrick will do what Trump says.
It shouldn’t be like this. Pennsylvania families shouldn’t have to pay the price for Republicans' single-minded focus on pleasing Trump. We should be able to count on our elected officials to put politics aside and put the wellbeing of our community first.
That’s why I’m running. And today, I’m proud to be partnering with the Bucks County Democratic Women’s Forum for a community Food Drive!
