Swing Left volunteers have been working hard, knocking on doors, making phone calls, and connecting with as many voters as possible before November 4th. But in this final stretch, every conversation with voters could make the difference in these crucial races.

Here’s why this election is so important:
Virginia Democrats are advancing redistricting efforts that could counter Republican-drawn gerrymanders in states like Texas, Missouri, and North Carolina—maps that aim to lock in GOP control of the House.
If successful, new congressional maps in Virginia could shift two or three additional House seats to Democrats. But lawmakers must pass a constitutional amendment in two consecutive legislative sessions—which makes maintaining a Democratic majority in the House of Delegates absolutely crucial in this election.

Swing Left is working to flip the governor’s, lieutenant governor’s, and attorney general’s offices, as well as eight swing House of Delegates seats.
Victories in these races would give Democrats a governing trifecta in Virginia, a very big deal at a time when blue state power stands as one of the only checks against Trump’s overreach from D.C.
It would also send a clear message that voters are ready to reject Trump and the MAGA agenda at every level of government, and lay more groundwork in competitive Virginia House districts ahead of the midterms in 2026.
