It’s awful…but we can’t look away

A Women's Place

The government is shut down. SNAP benefits are on the line. ACA subsidies are about to expire.

And yet — rather than doing his job and negotiating to re-open the government, Speaker Mike Johnson is spending his time blocking newly elected AZ Rep. Grijalva from being sworn in.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump literally tore down the entire East Wing of the White House last week…

… and if that isn’t a symbol of the reckless destruction Trump and his loyalists are bringing upon the entire federal government, nothing is.

Let me be clear: This is not governance. This is extremism. And it’s ordinary Americans who will pay the price.

Every time Republicans grind government to a halt, they prove why we need more Democrats — especially more women — in Congress. Folks who know what’s at stake when food assistance runs out, when healthcare gets ripped away, and when chaos replaces leadership.

If you’re ready to build that future, I need you with us today. My team has set a goal of 76 grassroots donors by the end of the month — can we count on you to be one of them?

If you’ve saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:

Because the truth is simple: governing shouldn’t be this hard, and cruelty shouldn’t be a political strategy. Chip in now to help us reach our really important goal.

Thank you for standing with me and everyone stepping up to fight back,

Mary Gay

P.S. I know things seem really tough right now, John. I feel it, too. This is heavy. But I refuse to give up hope — and I know you won’t either. Chip in now and be one of those 76 donors who care about protecting democracy.

The contemporary political landscape is filled with progressive women who are running for elected office up and down the ballot, who possess a true vision of equality for this country's future. A Woman's Place seeks to support their efforts by providing financial resources to embrace this tongue-in-cheek idea of what a woman's place should be.

We help put women where they belong: positions of political leadership throughout all levels of government.

Not authorized by any candidate or candidate committee. All contributions are made to support A Woman's Place PAC's general mission and are not designated for any specific activity.
