The Unz Review Digest - July 10, 2020
A wide variety of perspectives on America’s domestic upheavals dominated this last week’s leading features, with the top spot captured by former CIA Officer Philip Giraldi’s presentation of the widespread “conspiracy theories” circulating on our national predicament, notably those involving billionaire George Soros being the hidden hand behind our domestic “color revolution” against Donald Trump.
Coming next was the Saker’s discussion of whether the current presidential election actually matters at all, given the ideological convergence between the two parties on so many crucial matters and the obvious incompetence of President Trump.
Close behind was Mike Whitney’s critique of the current Democrat Party, whose deep involvement in the current Black Lives Matter riots and protests suggests it operates more like a CIA-backed Fifth Column involved in a Color Revolution than a legitmate, democratic political force. Taken together, these three closely-related pieces provoked nearly 800 comments, totaling over 80,000 words.
Holding fourth place was Paul Craig Roberts’s focus on some of the most misleading aspects of the media narrative surrounding George Floyd’s death, notably the lack of evidence that any supposed second autopsy pointing to police culpability ever actually occurred. Meanwhile, the extremely high levels of illegal drugs found in Floyd’s system strongly suggest that his death was due to a drug overdose and may have little to do with the police actions shown on the video.
Our fifth most popular featured piece was C.J. Hopkins’s presentation of the totalitarian aspects of the Covid-19 lockdowns inflicted upon much of the world, which drew nearly 300 comments totaling over 30,000 words.
Finally, rounding out our most popular pieces was Linh Dinh’s comparison of the widespread tributes and memorials to Genghis Khan throughout Mongolia in sharp contrast to the current American attacks against our own Thomas Jefferson and demands that his honors be removed given his record as a slaveowner.
What is the best way to debunk a conspiracy theory? Call it a conspiracy theory, a label which in and of itself implies disbelief. The only problem with that is there have been many actual conspiracies both historically and currently and many of them are not in the least theoretical in nature. Conspiracies of several...

Just by asking the question of whether the next Presidential election matters, I am obviously suggesting that it might not. To explain my reasons for this opinion, I need to reset the upcoming election in the context of the previous one. So let's begin here. The 2016 election of Donald Trump The first thing which,...

How do the Democrats benefit from the nationwide Black Lives Matter protests? While the protests are being used to paint Trump as a race-bating white supremacist, that is not their primary objective. The main goal is to suppress and demonize Trump's political base which is comprised of mainly white working class people who have been...

I have searched the Internet and cannot find the alleged second autopsy—the so-called “independent autopsy” hired by “George Floyd’s family.” I have no difficulty finding the official medical examiner’s report, but there is no sign of a second autopsy. Those of you who are convinced it exists please send me the URL. It will prove...

It was always going to come to this … mobs of hysterical, hate-drunk brownshirts hunting down people not wearing masks and trying to get them fired from their jobs, “no mask, no service” signs outside stores, security staff stopping the mask-less from entering, paranoid pod people pointing and shrieking at the sight of mask-less shoppers...

Near my guesthouse in Busan, there’s a Mongolian restaurant, Chinggis Khaan. On its sign, there’s a portrait of the conqueror, looking stern, with a lineup of archers on horseback, behind him. Though I had walked by Chinggis Khaan many times, I never entered because I thought it was probably some jive joint, run by Koreans....

I’m not going to claim that I have been totally 1488 from day one or that I came goose-stepping out of the womb. But I think I have always been instinctively and intuitively a race realist. Or at least, I have been since around the age of 8. The first black person I ever met...

Homo homini lupus est, said Plautus. Our new masters beat the old Roman comic dramatist at his game by establishing Homo homini toxic est as the new norm. They have trained us to be afraid of each other, to wear masks, to keep social distance, or even better, to stay home. They prefer it this...

Washington again becomes hysterical
There is particular danger at the moment that powerful political alignments in the United States are pushing strongly to exacerbate the developing crisis with Russia. The New York Times, which broke the story that the Kremlin had been paying the Afghan Taliban bounties to kill American soldiers, has been particularly assiduous in promoting the tale...

The ongoing series of protests, riots and unrest following the death of George Floyd culminated in the establishment of a self-declared “autonomous zone” by activists in Seattle, Washington, after police abandoned a local precinct in the city’s Capitol Hill district. White people are under siege across America. The latest outrage is the story of Braden Fields, an Ohio State University student who brags about tormenting white women with bogus racism accusations and acts of violence on his twitter account @cloutlordbray.
That Ghislaine Maxwell is finally in custody is certainly satisfying for all of us who believed her completely complicit in the horrible crimes against young girls committed by her associate Jeffrey Epstein. The internet is already alive with speculation regarding how long she will last in prison given the alleged death by suicide that eliminated...

Fatal Fentanyl: A Forensic Analysis
