Hey friend, 

My roots in North Carolina run deep. 

My grandmother raised me here and taught me the importance of family, faith, and service. Her hard work helped put me through school, and after graduating high school, I joined the Air Force Academy to serve our nation.

Following my time in the Air Force, I returned to eastern North Carolina as an educator. Many classes and conversations later, my community called me back to serve in elected office. Now, I’ve represented every corner of our district for nearly 20 years – first as the youngest mayor of Snow Hill, then as a state senator, and now congressman. 

I am running for Congress again because everyone deserves the opportunities that my family fought for me to have. Washington Republicans are trying to unfairly push me out of my seat through redistricting, which is why I need your help: Can I count on you to join my mission in standing up for hardworking families and contribute before our end-of-month deadline?
