The government is shut down. Families are hurting. Federal workers are missing paychecks.
But what about Donald Trump?
He’s tearing down the East Wing of the White House to build himself a $250 million golden ballroom, paid for by his billionaire donors and corporations eager to buy influence in Washington.

Construction crews began the project this week, despite Trump’s promise that “nothing would be demolished.” The new ballroom will nearly double the size of the White House and seat 999 people, all so Trump can throw lavish parties for CEOs and megadonors.
That's not speculation. Executives from Microsoft, Palantir, Amazon, Google, and Lockheed Martin were all invited to a private dinner where Trump told them a $25 million “contribution” would be appropriate.
This a slap in the face to every working American struggling through his shutdown.
While millions go without paychecks, Trump is building himself a palace. A monument to greed, corruption, and self-worship.
It’s our Versailles moment, a golden ballroom rising while the people struggle. Trump-style.
Building Blue is fighting back. We're organizing in battlegrounds, exposing MAGA’s corporate corruption, and mobilizing voters who refuse to let billionaires and defense contractors buy our democracy.
