Dear friends,

To read the news right now is to feel your heart break. Yet I keep having the same thought: we cannot turn away.

Not from the fight for Black lives. Not from the pandemic. Not from the work of dismantling systemic inequality and racism, and building a better future for all.

We know this work isn't going to happen overnight and CZI is proud to continue this work with our grantees. And we are hopeful. The Supreme Court’s decision last month to protect nearly 700,000 young people from deportation reminds us that progress toward a more inclusive and equitable America is not only possible. It is here.

Now, as ever, we must push for more.
