John, it's Katie. I want to tell you about an important decision I made a few years ago.

Otherwise, keep reading:
During the 2020 election, I was Arizona’s Secretary of State. I had a job to do: Count every vote.
Donald Trump and the extremists surrounding him didn’t make it easy. Like millions of Americans, I watched as an enraged crowd breached the halls of our nation’s Capitol in Washington, D.C. to overturn the people’s vote.
When the “Stop the Steal” movement took hold, I was harassed and even received death threats because of my role in overseeing Arizona’s elections.
Some would believe that in moments like these, you only have two options — fight, or give in. I chose to get the job done. We counted every vote, and in the middle of a once-in-a-century pandemic, we proved that democracy works.
But I knew the work wasn’t over. It was clear that the MAGA right wouldn’t offer any real solutions; they’d just offer more and more conspiracy theories and scapegoats.
So I decided to launch my campaign for governor to deliver transparency, accountability, and results for Arizonans. My opponents and national Republicans spent tens of millions of dollars and lobbed baseless attacks to try and defeat me, but thanks to hundreds of thousands of grassroots supporters chipping in what they could, we won with less than 1% of the vote.
That brings us to today.
Three years later, we’ve delivered incredible progress for Arizonans — lowering healthcare costs, investing in public education, and cutting taxes for middle-class families, just to name a few things. But there’s still more work to do.
I’m running to deliver another four years of progress like this, but Donald Trump, my three GOP opponents, and the national Republican establishment are determined to unseat me and flip this seat red .
Experts are calling the 2026 Arizona governor’s race a pure toss-up , just like they did in 2022. But I’m telling you now — this race is going to be even more competitive and even more expensive than the first time.
I know it might feel early to be reading emails like this, but these are the stakes. This is the level of competition in this race. And if we’re going to win this, we have to build a serious grassroots campaign from the very start.
So please, donate $10, $25, or whatever amount you’re able to help me win this 50/50 race, defend our hard-won progress, and serve another four years as governor of Arizona. I can’t do this without you! [[link removed]]
