 Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry Invites Creative Proposals for “Maine Stage” Event at the 85th Agricultural Trades ShowAUGUSTA — The Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry (DACF) invites farmers, food producers, creators, and agricultural enthusiasts to help bring the “Maine Stage” to life at the 85th Maine Agricultural Trades Show (ATS).  The Maine Stage event will take place on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Augusta Civic Center. DACF is seeking proposals for interactive, engaging, and creative programming that highlights Maine’s rich agricultural heritage and innovative future. 
“We’re excited to celebrate this 85-year milestone by adding something fresh and community-focused,” said ATS Coordinator Anne Trenholm. “The Maine Stage will be a place where people can connect through food, creativity, and shared appreciation for the culture of Maine agriculture.” Proposals may include: 
Maine food tasting experiences featuring local ingredients and producers
Inspiring keynote talks or demonstrations that celebrate Maine’s agricultural story
Community engagement activities such as music, trivia, comedy, or hands-on workshops Those interested in participating are encouraged to submit their proposal by Friday, November 15, 2025. The annual event brings together thousands of people who grow, produce, support, and celebrate Maine agriculture, from farm to table and forest to sea.
