After years of gerrymandered districts that have long silenced Black voters, Mississippians will head to the polls next week with new, fairer maps.
It’s a once-in-a-generation opportunity to break the Republican supermajority and elect progressive leaders who actually represent their communities.
But Mississippians aren’t fighting alone, John.
With your support, we’ve endorsed three local heroes — a nurse, a small business owner, and the first Black mayor of his city — each stepping up to flip their seats from red to blue.
These races will be tight, and every bit of support goes a long way. An average gift of just $33 has already helped our candidates:
- Hire poll workers to deter intimidation at the polls.
- Run local ads to reach historically excluded voters.
- Build lasting Democratic infrastructure that will strengthen organizing for years to come.
But with Election Day just days away, we can’t let off the gas.
Can you chip in to support Sister District’s work to break the MAGA supermajority in Mississippi? Your support will keep us organizing through November 4.
