JD Vance coming to town is the clearest signal yet that Republicans are afraid of our people-powered campaign.

Conservative super PACs are already heavily invested in ad spending here. My opponent, Cindy Hyde-Smith, has already started lying about my record.

They know that we have a clear path to victory in Mississippi, so they are trying to flood the zone with dark money. They know that as a new campaign, they have a massive fundraising head start on us.

Our ability to beat them is going to directly come down to if we’re able to raise enough money to close that gap, and John, in just a few days, our campaign is going to have to close the books on our October fundraising deadline.

We’ve set some ambitious goals – but these numbers weren’t plucked out of thin air. They are exactly what we need to raise to build a competitive operation.
