It’s been over a MONTH since Adelita Grijalva won her election, and Speaker
Mike Johnson STILL has not sworn into the House of Representatives. It’s gone
beyond outrageous.

This isn’t mere procedural drag, it’s a direct threat to our democracy. When
an elected representative cannot serve her district, this kind of obstruction
undermines the basic principles of a fair and free democracy.

Speaker Johnson has sworn in other members without this kind of delay in the
past. Yet Arizona’s 7th District voters are being silenced purely for political
reasons.

Adelita Grijalva is a proud Voting Rights Fund champion who has spent her
career advocating for the rule of law and equitable representation for all.
Now, it’s time for us to show up for her.
