I’ll be honest with you. This is a fundraising email.

But before you click away, I want to be perfectly candid with you about why I’m reaching out. On Friday, we reach our very last end-of-month fundraising deadline before Election Day — and right now, we’re $6,325 short of our goal.

We’re already in a difficult position in this race. A flood of polling shows me deadlocked with my MAGA opponent, and his deep-pocketed allies in Washington have been bombarding this race with attacks against me and my plan for New Jersey.

In the last few days of this race, we need to have the resources to defend ourselves from attacks, reach the last few undecided voters in our state, and make sure we’re getting every single one of our supporters to the polls by Election Day.

The only way my team and I can get all of that done is if you help us reach our goal by Friday night.

Asking for money has always been one of my least favorite parts of running for office — but Election Day is right around the corner, and the stakes of this race could not be higher. Can I count on you to pitch in and help power me and Democrats up and down the ballot to victory?
