Folks – the recent actions from our president should alarm every single American.

He has no interest in negotiating or finding real solutions. Trump’s too busy:

- Tearing down the White House to build a $300 million ballroom – a vanity project if I’ve ever heard one.

- Demanding that his own Justice Department personally pay him hundreds of millions of tax-payers’ dollars because he claims to have been wronged by their past investigations into his many alleged crimes.

- Globe-trotting and holding partisan speeches attacking his political opponents in front of our overseas military.

While Americans get ready to pay double or triple for their health care premiums next year and face an affordability crisis of Republicans’ making… Trump isn’t lifting a finger to solve those problems. Instead, he’s using his power as president to enrich himself and boost his own ego.

And unfortunately, we can’t count on elected Republicans to stand up to this president, no matter how reckless, stupid, or dangerous his actions are.

It’s why we need Democrats to win in Virginia this year – and take back control of Congress next year. The work to keep Virginia blue, hold this critical Senate seat for Democrats, and flip the balance of power has already begun.
