Hi John —
By now, we all know what’s at stake in this election: Virginia’s House of Delegates is narrowly divided, at a moment when a Democratic trifecta is more important than ever. As vulnerable groups across the country are placed in harm’s way by national politics, it’s time for states to step up.
Leslie Mehta gets this — and she’s running to become the next delegate for Virginia’s 73rd district. Leslie and I agree on the importance of standing up for the underserved and that politics should be rooted in public service, not power grabs. We’re also united in our priorities: affordable, accessible healthcare for families and investing in public education to grow opportunities for Virginia’s children.
To quote Leslie: “Politics isn’t about grandstanding—it’s about getting things done. That means listening, working across the aisle, and putting real solutions ahead of partisan bickering.”
This is the attitude we need to keep things moving for workers and families in Richmond.
