Friends,
I’ve seen too many families in our community struggling to make ends meet. From parents working long hours but still choosing between rent and groceries, to teachers spending their own money on school supplies, and seniors wondering if they can afford both medicine and food.
That’s not the Shelby County I know. And it’s not the Shelby County we deserve.
I’m Mickell Lowery, and I’m running for Shelby County Mayor because I believe the government should work for the people, not leave them behind.
When SNAP benefits are cut, it’s not just a number on a spreadsheet. It’s a mom skipping meals so her child can eat. It’s a family falling further behind in a system that was supposed to lift them up.
I’ve spent my career fighting for working families by expanding access to healthcare, investing in workforce training, and pushing for universal pre-K so every child starts school on equal footing.
I know what happens when a community refuses to give up on one another. Instead of blaming each other, we come back stronger together.
But to make that vision real, we have to fight back against policies that put profits over people. That fight starts right here in Shelby County.
Will you chip in $25, $50, or whatever you can today to help us build a campaign for a county that works for all of us?
