Children are not safe in schools.

Not when they live in a state where permitless concealed carry exists.

Not when Republicans are actively working to push the age back to 18 to purchase a gun.

Floridians want better. We’ve tried to ban open carry in the state, but Ashley Moody denied that ban as Attorney General.

Ashley Moody doesn’t care about your children. She cares about gun lobby groups, the NRA, and keeping Donald Trump happy. She even just co-sponsored a bill to allow concealed carry outside gun owners’ home states.

Before I was elected to the school board, I worked with pre-k and kindergarten-aged students as a speech-language pathologist.

Every time I walked into school, I worried about what could happen to my students, or my daughter, or even me that day.

Tragedy after tragedy rips apart communities across America and right here in Florida. It has to stop.

When politicians decide it’s more important to protect guns than to save kids’ lives, you know something is deeply broken.
