October is National Bullying Prevention Month — a time to renew our commitment to safe, inclusive spaces for every LGBTQ+ young person. Bullying remains disproportionately high for LGBTQ+ students, and these data show that inclusive policy matters. Schools that explicitly protect against anti-LGBTQ+ bullying are linked to stronger feelings of affirmation, lower bullying rates, and lower suicide-attempt rates.
