Friend,
Since the COVID-19 pandemic began in March, 27 million Americans may have lost their employer-provided health insurance…
Meanwhile, Mitch McConnell refuses to take up legislation that would ensure Americans have coverage when they need it most and the Trump Administration is asking the Supreme Court to strike down the Affordable Care Act.
I didn’t come to Congress to treat people’s lives like a political game. I’ve been dedicated from day one to making sure health care is affordable and accessible for everyone. And that’s never been more important than during a pandemic.
That’s why I’m proud the House recently passed bipartisan legislation to strengthen the Affordable Care Act. Our bill will reduce prescription drug prices, increase incentives for hold out states to expand Medicaid coverage for 4.8 million Americans, and strengthen protections for pre-existing conditions.
These provisions are critical to everyday Americans, especially those who are already struggling to make ends meet.
We need to show up for those who need us the most right now.
Once again, the fate of accessible health care lies in the hands of the Senate. Let’s fight to ensure health care for millions of Americans.
Will you join me in the fight to end political games with the health of Americans and call upon Mitch McConnell to work with Democrats in the Senate to strengthen the Affordable Care Act?
Please continue to stay safe. Remember to bring your mask wherever you go, carry hand sanitizer, and social distance.
With love,
Antonio
