Hi, it’s Ghazala Hashmi, the Democratic nominee for Lieutenant Governor of Virginia.

One week from today, voters will have their first opportunity since Donald Trump became president to make their voices heard. 

Ours is the only state in the nation that can flip a Governor and Lieutenant Governor’s office blue this year — and doing so would send a powerful message. 

Put simply: The eyes of the entire nation are on Virginia.  And we must answer the call.

This is not the time to let our foot off the gas pedal. So I’m asking: Will you pitch in $20 or more to help me finish this campaign strong? 

I don’t want to wake up next Wednesday morning thinking we could’ve done more.
