When asked on Fox News why he's still refusing to swear in Rep.-Elect Adelita Grijalva, Speaker Mike Johnson smirked and said:

"Bless her heart... she doesn't know how it works around here."

Are you serious?! How offensive. How patronizing.

We know how this works. Earlier this year, two Republicans were sworn in during pro forma sessions less than 24 hours after their elections. And there have been several since Adelita's landslide victory!

The voters have spoken, and HIS job is to swear HER in. That's how it works.

But instead of doing his duty, Speaker Johnson is hiding behind smug excuses to silence an entire district. He's not just undermining Adelita — he's undermining democracy.

We're furious! Adelita is ready to take the oath and serve. She needs all of us standing with her.
