At a time when Donald Trump is on the war path, consolidating more power into his hands, sending troops into our cities, and punishing his political enemies, we need strong progressive leaders who know how to stand up and fight back.

Ilhan Omar is exactly that kind of leader. She’s willing to go to bat for our progressive values. She’s proven that she won’t compromise away our civil rights or give an inch to the authoritarians. She understands we need to use every tool we have available to fight the far-right’s takeover.

But with this race now heating up, we’re going to have to take valuable time and resources away from the fight against Trump and the oligarchy and into this campaign.
