I’ve noticed something about all the far-right politicians and super PACs desperate to gerrymander me out of Congress:

They expected this to be easy. They really thought our campaign wouldn’t put up any kind of a fight once Donald Trump tried to put his thumb on the scale.

Well, they were wrong. Because of the support and the generosity of so many people like you, we’ve put up a defense far stronger than Donald Trump or any Kansas Republican ever expected. Now, they’re scrambling.

They’re calling up every shady billionaire, every dark money group in their contacts list, begging them to throw a mountain of cash here in Kansas to take me down. And one dark money group obliged. They pledged to spend a staggering amount of money to push Trump’s gerrymander across the finish line.

But here’s the thing: That’s not how a party acts when they think they’re winning.

We’ve reached the final stage of this marathon — and we have the momentum right now. But we can’t just jog our way to the finish line now. We have to give this fight everything we’ve got until the very end if we want to win. That’s why I’m reaching out to personally ask:

Will you chip in and join me in the final sprint of this re-districting battle? What we’re able to accomplish in the next few days could be the difference between electing a Democratic House majority next year — or handing two more years of unchecked power to Donald Trump.

Let’s power through the finish line.
