As we move through our first pandemic, protecting hard working employees’ health and incomes is top priority. I am honored to have been endorsed by the fierce fighters for working families - the Michigan AFL-CIO and its member organizations the United Auto Workers (UAW), the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) and the Service Employees International Union (SEIU). The Huron Valley Area Labor Federation (HVALF) has also recommended me for re-election!

I am proud to have their support and the COVID-19 pandemic has shown us exactly why our workers and working families need support from the workfloor to the legislature. As our state has tried to reopen safely, not every employer is taking the health and safety of their customers and employees seriously.

Over the last ten years, unions have been weakened by hostile legislatures and this has made it more difficult to fight for the healthcare, wages and workplaces that Michiganders deserve.

We have cancelled our in-person fundraising events until we can meet again safely, which makes email fundraising more important than ever.
