FIRST: Donald Trump and complicit Republicans in Congress used their power to gut health care, threaten Social Security, send masked agents to disappear people from their homes and workplaces, and violate the Constitution.

THEN: They realized their policies are wildly unpopular, so instead of running on their record, Trump and MAGA instead decided to rig the midterm elections, redrawing congressional maps in Texas and other states to give Republicans a permanent majority.

SO NOW: California is fighting back to protect our democracy with Prop 50. And it is up to all of us to do our part.

NAME/Friends, as Californians, the single biggest thing we can do right now to fight back against Trump and the GOP’s partisan power grab is to pass Prop 50.

Early and mail-in voting is happening now and we are one week away from Election Day.

So please, vote YES on Prop 50, and talk to your friends and family and make sure they have a plan to cast their vote. If you haven’t returned your ballot yet, please do it as soon as you possibly can.
