| John,
The Trump Department of Justice is demanding that Minnesota hand over private data on millions of voters, including Social Security and driver’s license information.
This is not normal. And it is not legal.
I took an oath to protect the people of Minnesota, and that means following the law, while protecting your privacy, your data, and your freedom to vote.
This isn’t about politics. It’s about power.
I will not hand over your private data in violation of the law. And I will not back down.
But standing up to the federal government is hard. Our goal is to raise $13,000 before the October end-of-month deadline. Will you chip in $10 or more today to help us protect Minnesota voters?

We’ve already explained to the DOJ, in painstaking detail, the rigorous checks we use to maintain accurate voter rolls.
But instead of listening, the DOJ has chosen to sue us, and they’re hinting that more lawsuits are coming, even against Republican-led states that refuse to bend.
This job has never been about politics for me. It’s about protecting Minnesotans: your rights, your privacy, and your trust in democracy.
I won’t stop now. Please help me keep up the momentum by helping us hit our October fundraising goal by chipping in now →
Thank you,
Steve
