President Trump and his Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos are trying to force schools to reopen during the COVID-19 crisis. And educators are not happy about it.
Though our public health emergency continues to worsen, both Trump and DeVos insist that schools should just accept the risk and move towards in-person instruction in the fall.
Educators and parents don’t buy this because they know the dangers of this virus. The National PTA, along with five other organizations representing teachers and administrators, even went as far as to call the Trump administration a “vacuum of leadership” with “zero credibility” with parents and teachers on the issue of schools reopening.
Unqualified and unfit for office, DeVos is just one of many Trump cabinet members who have collectively put our country at great risk. We do not have to accept this. Will you join us in bringing in new, committed leadership this November? Tell us:
