John,

The illusion that corporations and billionaire-backed politicians have good intentions for our communities is shattering.

Millions are hitting the streets to rally against a regime hellbent on destroying anything that resembles democracy, and CEOs are beginning to take notice when millions more of us speak our values by closing our wallets. Organized communities are putting their bodies on the line to protect their immigrant coworkers from federalized kidnappers, and hundreds of coalitions are building the infrastructure needed to catch our neighbors when institutional safety nets fail to catch us.

Suddenly, the concept of general or coordinated strikes isn’t just something whispered about in the corners of "radical" community meetings or discussed in the comments of a subreddit. It’s a mainstream headline, political talking point, and a topic for the dinner table.

At Jobs with Justice, we believe that workers yield immense power when we are organized, aligned, and energized. As the wealthy and powerful few continue their attempts to darken our daily lives through political and economic violence, we know that working people have the solutions to build a future where we all thrive, and democracy is revived.

That’s where you come in. In the spring of 2026, Jobs with Justice will convene workers, union and movement leaders, artists, activists, and more in Atlanta. This event will be more than a conference, it's a call to action. This is an opportunity to strengthen our relationships, deepen our skills, and collectively exhale as we prepare for the work ahead.

We want workers like you to join us in Atlanta, Georgia on May 14-16, 2026. Sign up to stay connected and get updates on the registration launch, programming, presenters, and much more.

Save the date!

We’ll have more to share soon. I can't wait to be in this space together to dream, plan and organize for the future working people deserve.

In solidarity & gratitude,

Erica Smiley
