| John - I know you’re getting a lot of emails from campaigns talking about their ‘end-of-month’ fundraising deadlines (because my inbox is full of them as well). So I wanted to make this one a behind-the-scenes update and tell you why your support is important. So is this a “real” fundraising deadline? Yes and no… Hear me out. No, it’s not a real deadline in the sense that no legal entity is requiring federal campaigns to report on their fundraising like they do at the end of each quarter. But yes, as a campaign manager, it is a very real deadline for me because what we raise in October informs the spending decisions I make for the rest of the cycle. As Sarah’s campaign manager, part of my job is to project how much money we’re going to raise and then use that projection to build a plan of how we’re going to flip this seat. So if we fall significantly behind our projections, that means I have to make cuts to the campaign’s plan to flip this seat. Look, I can’t promise this is true for every campaign emailing you, but when I tell you that we have a goal to raise $10,000 from emails like these this month, it’s not an arbitrary or made-up number. It’s what I projected we need in October to set Sarah’s campaign up in the strongest position possible for next year. Zach Nunn is one of the most vulnerable incumbent Republicans in the House, which means we have a rare opportunity to flip this seat blue next year. And if we do, Democrats will be in a strong position to take back our House majority and finally put a check on Trump's power in Washington. We can only do that if we run a robust campaign, fueled by grassroots supporters like you generously contributing to our campaign $2, $3, or $10 at a time. We don’t want to scale back on our program now, not when we’re building such strong momentum, so please donate to Sarah’s campaign today to help us reach our online fundraising goal and flip IA-03 blue. If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:
