Team, I will get right to the point: I am reaching out today to ask you to help elect Mikie Sherrill as the next governor of New Jersey.

Mikie has spent her life serving our nation with honor and integrity — as a Navy helicopter pilot, as a federal prosecutor, and as an incredibly effective Congresswoman for the people of New Jersey.

Again and again, Mikie has shown that she is not afraid of a tough fight, and that she will stand up to anyone who attacks the rights, freedoms, or livelihoods of the people she serves. That is exactly the kind of leadership we need right now.

Mikie’s opponent in this race has shown that his top priority as New Jersey’s governor would be following Trump’s orders. He even said he gives Trump an “A” for the job he has done since taking office in January and that Trump was “right about everything that he’s doing.”

The last thing New Jersey needs is a governor who puts loyalty to Trump above his constituents or the Constitution.

This is the first major statewide election since Trump took office, and it is our best opportunity to show that the American people are standing up against chaos, cruelty, and endless abuses of power. We are voting for leaders who have what it takes to fight back and win.
