Friend — Give us just a minute to explain our situation.

The good news: Despite the government shutdown, this amazing grassroots team has helped us stay afloat and continue to afford to invest in a winning campaign. We’re grateful for everyone who has chipped in so far this month.

The bad news: We are now three days away from our October fundraising deadline, and we’re still way behind where we hoped we’d be at this point. We’re now in real danger of missing our goals.

Team, these goals are not arbitrary. We don’t take asking for your donation lightly.

The truth is that at any moment this race can change drastically. We’ve heard rumors about AIPAC looking for someone to challenge Ilhan. We’ve seen reports of well-funded challengers considering jumping into this race, and polls being run in our district.

The day those reports and rumors become reality, we will instantly be behind. That’s not an exaggeration.

AIPAC spent over $100 million in last year’s elections, a record-breaking amount of money in American politics. Most of that was spent to defeat progressive candidates in their primaries.

If AIPAC takes the leap to get into this race, or any other powerful corporate PAC, we better believe they will spend millions and millions on attack ads and smear campaigns against Ilhan. We have to be ready.

So please: Chip in to Ilhan Omar’s campaign today and help us close our fundraising gap before Friday. Whether or not we win this race will hinge on whether or not we can raise the resources we need to take on the establishment and win.
