Hi John,
It's hard to ignore how AI is creeping more and more into our lives. From software and tools we use at work to media we see online, it’s hard to escape. And at the same time, something more sinister is going on: AI surveillance. The more the AI Surveillance Pipeline grows, the more we’ll see ICE abducting our neighbors, bosses making our jobs lower paying and less secure, landlords jacking up our rents, businesses raising the cost of goods and services, mass surveillance of our communities, and corporations and the government silencing voices of dissent. We are all at risk.

Communities across the country are pushing back. On November 18th, join us for a panel discussion featuring organizers, technology advocates, and policy experts to learn about actions that communities, civil society, and local and state governments can take to Stop the AI Surveillance Pipeline Now! All attendees will get (1) a roundup of action items, policy ideas, and resources, and (2) a grassroots education tool to facilitate conversations on these issues. Pre-registration is required.

The panel will be moderated by Professor Seema N. Patel, UC Law San Francisco, with speakers from PowerSwitch Action, Data & Society, Just Futures Law, National Employment Law Project, Tech Equity Collaborative, CoWorker.org, Gig Workers Rising, and Warehouse Worker Resource Center.
We hope you can spend an hour with us to join this timely and urgent discussion of how we fight back together, protect each other, and safeguard our rights. |
