Hi John! It’s Cynthia, Emily Randall’s mom. 

I can’t believe this little girl is turning 40 this week! Time flies. 

On her last birthday, I was working the phones and Emily was going door-to-door to get out the vote. This year, she’s a member of Congress, flying between D.C. and Washington to end the shutdown and protect our healthcare. 

We had no idea what our country would be going through in her first months in office! But Emily has tackled our monumental challenges with the tenacity, enthusiasm, and pragmatism she’s always possessed.

After serving in the State Senate and passing nearly 200 bills, Emily made history in 2024 as the first queer Latina elected to Congress.
