We have a chance this year No images? Click here John, Primary ballots will be arriving in mailboxes across the state in just over a week. This year you and I both know that Washingtonians need to vote for candidates at all levels of government who will uphold our collective values and support all of our communities. This has only become more important with the coronavirus pandemic and the many instances of police violence against Black Americans laying bare the shortcomings of our democracy. This year Washington Conservation Voters has endorsed a group of candidates who will stand up for our environment and the health of our communities. But we are going to need your support to get them elected. We have a chance this year to elect environmental champions to important offices from the Governor to County Commissioners. We need elected officials who can tackle tough environmental issues while addressing the broad range of challenges facing our state. We know that we are running out of time to address the climate crisis and we need to do it in a way that doesn’t perpetuate existing inequities. We need elected officials who are willing to build a green economy that reduces climate pollution while supporting communities. As we recover from an economic recession and seek justice for frontline communities, we need leaders who prioritize public health, protect workers, and invest in policies that address climate change, clean up toxic pollution, and restore our forests and waters. That starts with who we vote for in just over a week. Will you help us elect the leaders who will decide our future? Thank you, Lennon Lennon Bronsema |
