After more than two years of devastating and relentless violence in Gaza, a ceasefire was announced on October 10. While Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) welcomes this much-needed yet fragile relief for Palestinians, this is only the first step to addressing the overwhelming humanitarian, medical, and psychological needs of people in Gaza.
The needs are still immense. Gaza’s health care system has been shattered along with homes and whole neighborhoods. Food, water, medicine, and shelter are still urgently needed. We urge Israeli authorities to allow the unimpeded flow of humanitarian aid into Gaza. But through this genocide, in the face of immeasurable suffering and extreme danger, your support has enabled us to provide lifesaving care where and when we are able.
In Gaza and other humanitarian crises around the world, your support enables us to respond where the needs are greatest. Make a donation to MSF today to help us continue providing medical care for people enduring emergencies around the world.

The scale of need in Gaza right now is enormous, and it’s your support that keeps us going. Our teams are:
-
Working in and supporting four hospitals, two field hospitals, and three primary health care centers in Gaza. In Nasser Hospital, our teams are supporting a 108-bed pediatric unit, two operating theaters, and an outpatient department specializing in maternity cases.
-
Providing clean water and sanitation after Gaza’s water network was rendered inoperable by the Israeli forces’ violence and siege. Our teams are providing desalination plants, water trucking, and establishing areas for people to collect clean water. In August 2025 alone, we distributed almost 1.9 million liters of drinking water per day.
-
Providing mental health support to Palestinians who have experienced repeated displacement, escalating violence, and an environment of constant fear. Since October 2023, we have provided 70,599 individual mental health sessions.
The ceasefire must be respected and sustained. It's the only way that people can get the care they need—something that was impossible under Israeli forces’ constant bombardment.
We need your help today to continue responding to humanitarian emergencies like in Gaza, Sudan, Haiti, and around the world. Can we count on you to donate now to fuel MSF’s efforts to provide medical care for people facing some of the world’s most challenging crises?

We are grateful for your support—now and always.
Sincerely,
Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières USA
