Jennifer-Ruth Green Announces Campaign for Congress: “Ready to Finish the Mission”

CROWN POINT, IN – Today, Jennifer-Ruth Green, a conservative Republican, Air Force veteran, Lieutenant Colonel in the Air National Guard, and former Republican congressional nominee, officially announced her candidacy for Congress in Indiana’s First Congressional District to support President Trump and advance an agenda focused on a stronger middle class, stronger families, and a stronger America:

“I have spent my life serving our country and striving to serve others. I love this country, and I am still called to serve. Today, I am announcing my candidacy for Congress because Northwest Indiana deserves better,” Green said. “The stakes have never been higher. When we defeat far-left Congressman Frank Mrvan and take back Indiana’s First District for the first time since 1928, Republicans will keep the House, and we’ll stop Mrvan and his radical allies in Congress from impeaching President Trump and advancing their socialist agenda.”

“This isn’t about politics—it’s about saving America,” Green said. “I serve our country in uniform. Now I’m ready to fight for the America we love in Congress.”

A graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy, Green served as a counterintelligence mission commander in Baghdad, where she worked to keep America safe. She now serves as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Air National Guard. Green founded a nonprofit that helps at-risk youth through aerospace and leadership training. As Indiana’s first Secretary of Public Safety, Green supported first responders across the state and worked with the Trump administration to remove dangerous illegal immigrants from local communities.

In Congress, Green pledges to stand “shoulder to shoulder” with President Trump to:
* Rebuild American manufacturing and create middle-class jobs
* Fight for bigger paychecks and lower prices
* Support farmers and rural communities
* Secure the border and deport violent illegal immigrants
* Defend life, the Second Amendment, and law enforcement

Jennifer-Ruth Green came closer to winning IN-01 in 2022 than any Republican has since from 1928 to present. It continues to trend our way — with President Trump following just a half a point short in the district in 2024. With Indiana likely to redistrict to make this seat fairer and more competitive, IN-01 will be key to the control of the House of Representatives in 2026 and at the forefront of efforts to combat Democrats’ outrageous gerrymanders and 2021 decision to count millions of illegal immigrants in the Census – skewing congressional apportionment to their advantage and diluting the representation of tens of millions of American citizens in deep red states like Indiana.
