Hi John,
This past month has been historic in the fight for LGBTQ equality! In June, we saw the Supreme Court affirm that sexual orientation and gender identity discrimination are prohibited under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act. This monumental decision underscored what we have long known -- no one should be denied a job or fired simply because of who they are or whom they love.
But the fight is long from over. We must keep fighting until every single American has full equality and access to opportunity. That is why Democrat-led house the Equality Act to ban all forms of discrimination against LGBTQ Americans and why it is far past time for Leader McConnell to take up this legislation.
