The outgoing Chair of the Colorado Libertarian Party, Hannah Goodman, just changed her party registration to Democrat.
In an interview describing how she came to the decision she credited Democrat Trisha Calvarese for inspiring her decision to switch parties.
Goodman said, “Debating with Trish, and then talking after (the debate) with her and watching her social media, it was really refreshing, because I hadn’t met a Democrat like her for a very long time… It was such a homecoming sort of feeling for me to hear a Democrat giving that perspective, that Truman-style perspective of the Democratic Party.”
It’s proof of the strength of Trisha’s message, character, and platform.
Trisha is showing how Democrats can win in red areas while the same old DC establishment power brokers recycle the same losing strategy of recruiting former Republicans to run on moderate Republican-lite platforms as Democrats. It isn’t fooling anyone.
