Donald Trump is literally tearing down the East Wing of the White House to build himself a ballroom.

While millions of Americans are going without pay because of his reckless government shutdown and 42 million Americans (1 in 8) will lose their SNAP food assistance on Nov. 1, Trump is using bulldozers and private donors to turn the People’s House into his personal palace so he can throw parties for billionaires and campaign donors.

Canvassing: Come knock doors with us and help stop the Trump/MAGA agenda. Trump is trying to rig the midterm elections and passing Prop 50 is the best chance we have of stopping him and taking back Congress next year.

Face to face conversation is the best way to persuade and turn out our voters. We'll do a short training on the script and FAQs and we have literature to share with folks. Join us as often as you can, encourage your friends to come and help save our country! First timers will be also be paired with an experienced canvasser.

Phonebank: Join our virtual phonebanks and help stop the Trump/MAGA agenda. We're phoning 6 days per week, 2 shifts per day. Our Spanish language phonebanks will be Sundays from 12-2 and Thursdays from 6 - 8 PM. Sign-up HERE.

Social Media: Use the CA Democratic Party social media toolkit to get the message out on any and all of your social media platforms. It’s easy to use and offers ready to post messages that can easily be customized for BlueSky, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Threads, WhatsApp and X.

Voter Protection: Join the CADEM Voter Protection team. Now more than ever, we must do everything we can to protect voters. With Trump and the Republicans taking unprecedented measures to disrupt election processes, hamstring the post office, and suppress voting, our Voter Protection Team will play a critical role in ensuring that Every Vote Counts! Those who canvass or phone bank on Monday afternoon before the Congressman's rally will be eligible for reserved seating in the front rows. That way you can finish your great work, still make it to the event and have a reserved seat. CADEM will verify your canvass/phone bank work that day.
Be ready to take a Get Out the Vote (GOTV) action during the evening.

No Kings 2.0: El Dorado County Voters
Stand-Up and Take Action

The Second No Kings Day was a huge success. Over 7 MILLION Americans participated across the country in the biggest single-day demonstration in US History.

In El Dorado County, we had a huge turnout - topping our first No Kings numbers. On the west slope, there were close to 2,000 demonstrators across 10 overpasses and at the Placerville Courthouse. In South Lake Tahoe, 2100 people showed up to let the current administration know that we don't want a king or dictator!!! This is an amazing turnout for EDC!!

Last Saturday, more than 7 million of us poured into the streets to reject Trump’s dictatorship. That’s more than 2 percent of the adult population of the United States.

Historical studies suggest that 3.5 percent of a population engaged in sustained nonviolent resistance can topple even the most brutal dictatorships — such as Chile under Pinochet and Serbia under Milosevic.

Which means we’re almost there.
