I recently had the pleasure to meet with my good friend Angela in person on the day of the No Kings rally in LA. Angela and I are both working class. We’re not career politicians. We’re in this because we’ve lived and experienced exactly what we’re trying to change. 

Angela’s father was deported when she was a kid. I grew up in the shadows of Detroit’s smoke stacks and I developed an asthmatic cough I still have to. this. day. 

We both grew up in working class families that were poor in money but rich in love,  and we saw from a young age just how our country is systemically broken. We want to change that.
