Here’s an update from our campaign:
Twenty seven days into the federal shutdown, Senate Democrats remain unwilling to vote to reopen the federal government.
Despite the House passing a clean continuing resolution (CR) to prevent a lapse in federal funding, Democrats in the Senate are demanding $1.5 trillion in new spending in order to reopen the federal government.
Democrats in Washington have admitted they are using the impact of the shutdown on American families as “leverage.”

Senate Democrats continue to vote against paying our troops and federal law enforcement. Our men and women in uniform are scheduled ([link removed]) to miss their paychecks in the coming weeks. This can pose a risk to our national security, public safety, and impose undue burdens on these families.
Democrats must change course.

I joined Newsmax ([link removed]) this week to discuss the need to for Senate Dems vote to pass the clean CR, pay our troops, and reopen the federal government. You can watch below or at the link here ([link removed]) .

Fighting Waste, Fraud, and Abuse
Reports have found that the Milwaukee County Transit System (MCTS) allowed more than 8 million ([link removed]) riders to evade fares. MCTS specifically instructs bus drivers not to ask riders for fares.
Fare evasion cost MCTS more than $10 million ([link removed]) , almost its total operating deficit.
This is wrong and harms the taxpayers who fund this system. It is also fundamentally unfair to the hardworking families who use the system, follow the rules, and pay their fair share.
Last week, I introduced legislation to ensure local transit agencies collect fares. The No Free Rides Act requires local transit agencies like MCTS to enforce fare collection in order to receive federal transportation funding.
After I introduced this proposal, MCTS announced ([link removed]) they will reevaluate their policy instructing bus drivers not to request fares from passengers.
Thank You for Your Support
It’s no secret that our district is on Democrats’ target list ([link removed]) . Last cycle they spent nearly $5 million lying about our record and we still beat top recruit Peter Barca by over 10 points. ([link removed])
With Donald Trump in the White House, they’ve already started running attack ads in Wisconsin.

This month, we filed our Q3 fundraising report. Thanks to your support we were able to raise $890,000 ([link removed]) . This will help pay for our yard signs, ground game, TV ads, and digital targeting to help beat back the Democrats’ attacks and win in 2026.
I am grateful for all the grassroots support for our campaign and promise to continue my work to secure our communities, lower costs for Wisconsin families, and protect our seniors.
Thank you again.
